A new blog for a new year.

So my mate Dave decided he was going to take part in a 'Tale of 4 Gamers' style army collecting and painting agreement. Ive decided to follow his example, and thought that i should show the wider world what i get up to in my spare time (other than playing Fallout games...).
For those not familiar with the concept, A Tale of Four Gamers was a series of articles run in Games Workshops White Dwarf magazine several years ago now. The idea was that 4 friends each start a new army with a set budget to spend each month. All models purchased must be painted by the end of that month or forfeits are dealt out! For the purposes of the one im taking part in, we have set the first installment at £60, then £30 for each month after that, up until October and the autumn Throne of Skulls tournament at Warhammer World in the UK. The main idea being that by the time October comes around, we will each have a sizable army to select our 2000pts from for the tournament.

With a new Orc and Goblin book due in March i decided this was the perfect time to indulge my desire to own a nicely painted Greenskin army. The format of how i will collect this army means i will have to be disciplined about actually painting the models too, and not just leave them on the shelf (like my unfortunate recent Wood Elf project).

It just remains for me to decide what to purchase with my initial £60!
